日本の現場の人たちは、安月給にもかかわらず勉強熱心で忍耐強く勤勉に働く。外国では、ドコモのオプションを完全に理解して客に伝えうる人材をあの給料では雇用できないはずだ。現場の無能さが、現場のオペレーションを単純化しようという経営者の動機になるのだが、日本の場合、幸か不幸か、現場が複雑さを力技で呑み込んでしまうのだ。それゆえ、日本では複雑なものが複雑なまま、現場の犠牲のもとに続いて行く。
